They are almost identical. The 7400 series has higher security standards, whereas the 8400 series has active noise canceling in the speakers. All a matter of which feature you perfer.

It terminates in a Poly quick disconnect, that needs a connecting cable to the device you will plug into. At this time, Poly doesn't have a connecting cable for typical 2 jack aviation connections.

You should be fine most of the time not needing the software. The software is for firmware updates and helps with remote answering for some softphones.

Wideband has to do with audio quality, so that shouldn't factor in with any delays. Call Poly support and 1-888-248-4143 and see if it's an issue with your headset or a firmware setting within your phone.

No, the amplifier or deskphone you connect to controls the volume.

No headset may be perfect, but it cancels out enough noise your caller won't be able to recognize the sound.

They are as many users still use older phones or phones that don't have built-in EHS capabilities.

Simply connect the cable between headset base and your PC. On your PC, set the Savi as your audio source. No software needed, but HUB is a free Plantronics download to allow firmware updates and make changes to the headset/base. Press the computer button on the headset base when you want audio from your PC to come through the headset. I hope that helps.

The PC connection is via USB cable. Once connected, you set your PC audio to the Savi (microphone and speaker). Then simply press the computer button on top of the headset base and your headset is now the source for audio coming and going to your PC.

Feedback means the mic needs to be turned down, or it's on the wrong compatibility setting for your phone. See the left edge of the M22, under the cover for setting for both.

@@HeadsetsDirect I unplugged the power cord and used batteries instead. It took care of 90% of the feedback. The other suggestions I tried already and it didn't make a difference.

Most headsets will have the noise canceling built in and always on. If you're having issues, you probably need a different headset with more advanced noise canceling capabilities.
